Sangameshwara Temple, was built by the Chalukya King, Vijayaditya Satyashraha. It is one of the oldest temples of India. Located on the banks of the Malprabha River, in Karnataka, Pattadakal flourished to glory when the Chalukyan Dynasty was in power. Many temples in Pattadakal belong to the 4th century AD.
